As the weather gets colder we are always looking for fun and creative ways to keep our little ones busy. This activity is both hands on and fun and educational as well. Through creating our subway map we were able to work on letter recognition, number recognition and shape recognition; while also learning a bit more about our subway system and how interconnected they all are. Another example of the world is our classroom! This is a hands on sensory approach to learning, that’s fun to do in this cold frigid weather! Fun activities like these allows a child to use their hands as a tool while exploring primary colors and creating secondary colors. Learning doesn’t always have to be black and white - we can create a safe and fun way for our children to learn and explore the world around them.
