No need to cook dinner tonight! The PS9 Fundraiser with Chipotle is happening today from 4-8pm at the 2298 B'way ( Street) location.

The online ordering code is X26Q4TK. Please note that fundraiser online ordering is only valid through pickup during your fundraiser’s scheduled date, time, and assigned restaurant.

Make sure you show the fundraiser flyer (hard copy or on your phone) or tell the cashier at checkout that they are there for a fundraiser before you pay! If you don’t tell the cashier, PS9 won’t get credit for the sale.

The Parent Association is hosting the Annual Staff Appreciation Breakfast on December 16th. This special event is organized by the Kindergarten At Large team. We are counting on donations to serve our staff of about 100 people. Every year teachers and staff look forward to those prized specialty recipes that have been a family tradition for generations or perhaps it's something amazing you’ve whipped up yourself...so bring on those delicious casseroles!

If cooking isn’t your thing, there are definitely many things needed that don't require effort in the kitchen!

Take 2? 🎬 If your child did not sit for school photos in October or if you are not satisfied with their photograph they can sit for the photographer again on Wednesday, December 7th. Please e-mail [email protected] with your child's name and class number by Monday, December 5th if you would like to participate in retake day. The deadline to order school pictures from the original day is December 6th.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed quality time with their families. As we head further into the holiday season, we want to show gratitude and thank everyone for their time and efforts all school year. We had a successful Halloween Hop, Book Fair and raised money for PS9! It’s wonderful to see so many parents coming together to build a great community for our kids and our families.

Join us for PS9’s Open School. We are excited to announce the first of what we hope to be many opportunities for parents/guardians to visit the school this year. Our Open School visits are an opportunity for you to see the amazing work of your children and their teachers.

Dates as follows:
Pre-Kindergarten: Tuesday November 22 (8:45-9:15 am)
Grade 5: Thursday December 1 (9:00-9:30 am)
Kindergarten: Friday December 2 (9:00-9:30 am)
Grade 3: Tuesday December 6 (9:00-9:30 am)
Grade 2: Wednesday December 7 (9:00-9:30 am)

To participate, log into Operoo and complete two forms under the Request banner: Confirm your participation, and upload proof of Covid vaccine card so you can enter the building through the 'express line'. (Alternatively you can show your Covid vaccine card at the door, but expect the check-in to be time consuming so come early to line up!) Do this for each child, if you have more than one enrolled at PS9. See you soon!
