National Breastfeeding Months Re-Cap 💞💖💝

"It takes a village" not only to raise children, but also to provide appropriate levels of holistic healthcare, education, guidance, counseling, support and more. To create and provide "a safety net that works" thru every age & stage, most importantly from the very beginning...from conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and the early years 💕

My heartwork is to do so consistently and unequivocally for all families, from continuity of care in safe spaces to community events in open places. And I am beyond fortunate to do so alongside so many phenomenal partners who are just as passionate and dedicated to this 💖

Also appreciate each and every person who contributes so graciously to these initiatives, making all this possible 💝

Workplace Lactation Week (WLW), from Sept 1-7, celebrates the contributions of nursing mothers/parents in the workplace and aligns with Labor Day to highlight the essential role working parents play in the workforce. The 2026 theme is "Work. Pump. Advance. Empowering the modern parent."

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)® visits may center on return-to-work planning and include counseling on infant feeding, breast pump teaching, paced bottle feeding and additional educational resources to inform parents who continue to provide breastmilk for their babies after returning to work, in accordance with general health recommendations.
