What is a coaching versus a voice lesson? Watch and read to find out ☺️

✨What is the difference in a Voice LESSON versus a COACHING? ✨ These two terms are often used interchangeably in the teaching world so it can be confusing to fully understand what each of these types of training have to teach us. 🎶A voice lesson focuses on vocal technique and the science of the voice. In these sessions we talk about registers, range, placement, muscle tensions, and we work through personalized and very specific technique exercises to physically improve your voice. 🎭In a coaching session, we are more acting focused. This means breaking down text or lyrics, finding objectives, looking at how the music influences the storytelling, working your song, scene or monologue beat by beat and analyzing the nitty gritty details. Of course, both of these are not mutually exclusive and each couldn’t exist without the other, which is why we can also have both in a single session.
