Hi I’m Sallie Guillory. The common theme of my life has been coaching people and teams to become all that God has created them for.

I’m passionate about coaching business leaders and church leaders to reach their goals and help others do the same.

Don’t be afraid to try new things in your leadership. A ship in motion is easier to steer than a ship that’s docked.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you start. Just start.

Be intentional about scheduling rest ahead of time.

Don’t wait until you’re past empty to schedule rest or it won’t happen.

Leaders don’t like to do things that they’re not good at. But often times we try and hire people like us thinking they will like to do things we don’t like to do.

Instead, we should hire people different than us who not only like to do the things we don’t like to do, but they are also good at the things we’re not.

The best leaders know how to lean into their strengths and hire their weaknesses.

Effective leaders know how to take action on their dreams and the dreams of those they lead.

Creativity isn’t reserved just for artists or musicians. Creativity is inside all of us. It simply means looking at the things you already know differently.

It’s easy to say, but hard to do.

Celebrate more, compare less.

Be intentional about celebrating people. It’s way more fun that way 🎉

Organizations and churches say they want growth, but they want it the way they’ve always known it. They want it the safe way. The way that sticks to their customs and traditions of how things have always been. Jesus didn’t do that and we shouldn’t do that today as leaders either.

“Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John, although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples.” John 4:1-2

More disciples were getting baptized and it wasn’t Jesus who was doing the work. It was his disciples. The ministry was growing without the leader. The leader had empowered his team to do the work. The Pharisees didn’t like that.

Anytime you’re doing something significant for God there will be “Pharisees” just like the ones in Jesus’s day who will try and stop the momentum and want you to do it their way.

They don’t want growth, they want control.

Jesus’s ministry grew because the leader empowered others to do the ministry.

Secure leaders give their power away to others.

Building relationships is the key to life and leadership.

Good leaders care, but great leaders know how to show they care.

Teaching others also opens up a powerful, transformative relationship with people.

The woman who just lost her job and is in the middle of a custody battle for her kids is not coming to your church today because you said “It’s going to be a great day at church today.”

That woman does not think it would be a great day to be at church today.

That woman needs to know about the love, hope and peace found in Jesus Christ and our churches have an opportunity to share that through social media.
