Just had a talk with my coach about worrying what others think…

And here’s the truth:
✨ It’s not your responsibility to manage someone else’s opinion of you.
✨ Most people are too busy thinking about themselves.
✨ If someone isn’t vibing with you, they’re not your people—and that’s okay.

Be you, boldly and unapologetically.
It’s not your business what others think. And, they're probably not thinking about you anyway.

With everything happening—at home and around the world—
it’s hard to stay positive.
Hard to see the outcome.
Hard to hold onto hope.

But here's what I know:

✨ We are resilient.
✨ We can still be a force for good.
✨ We can still find beauty in our small corners of the world.

A smile.
A kind word.
A shared moment of peace.
A patch of sky that reminds you—you’re still here.

And in the midst of it all—
use your tools.

Ground yourself.
Breathe deeply.
Meditate, move, pause.
Let these moments fortify your self-care.

No act of goodness is too small.
No bit of hope is wasted.

Let’s keep showing up.
Soft, strong, and steady.

☀️ Welcome, Summer. ☀️
The solstice is here.
Bringing longer nights, warmer days, and that delicious exhale we’ve been craving.

Summer invites us to slow down.
To soften.
To savor.

Whether you're jetting off or soaking in a staycation...
Whether it’s the sun on your skin or the grass under your feet…
Let this season be a celebration of presence.

Let it be barefoot moments, messy joy, and ice-cold drinks on warm nights.
Let it be pleasure. Rest. Laughter. PLAY.

Welcome, summer.
We’ve been waiting for you.

We know that self-care is vital to our well-being.
We know that it is not a luxury, we know it should be a priority.
Yet, we sometimes fall short on this.
We forget our tools, practices, rituals.

May was a rough month for me. Still in physical pain to the point I couldn’t stand, sit, or walk for any period of time. I was constantly fidgeting to find a way to settle that wasn’t painful. The only time I left my apartment was to go to the doctor or pharmacy.

Things have weighed heavily on me too. The manner of passing of a country music legend, assault on women's rights, and the mass shootings in a supermarket and a school. I'm so crushed by the pain people are in, the lack of humanity and compassion, the refusal of authorities to take action to prevent such incidents. The determination to remove women's choice but not protecting children in school.

On one end, I just want to stay curled up under the covers, and on the other, I want to act, but don’t know what I can do. Staying under the covers is not helping anyone, and certainly not helping me. I admit it, I let my self-care fall to the side. Yet, this is when we really need to ramp up our self-care. Take the time to self-soothe in a healthy manner. Feel the feelings, take the nap, spend some time alone, ask for help, seek comfort with loved ones. Breathe, meditate to regulate your system.

How do you move through the difficult periods? What are your tools for self-care even when you don't feel like it?
