𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆
is held in honor of Noah Webster, the man who is considered to have fathered the American Dictionary. 1758 was an auspicious year for the English language, and the first English Lexicographer, or one whose craft is writing, editing and compiling English Dictionaries. The good man was born in Hartford Connecticut to a family of some means, and his parents had the distinction of being both priest, farmer, Captain of the local militia, and the one who founded the local book society, something like a local library.

National Hug Your Hound Day is on September 14 to honor a man’s best friend. The dogs have been standing by us since dawn history. They were probably the first animals that were domesticated and felt affection for humans. Dogs have a reputation for being warm and loving companions, loyal staff, and faithful protectors in the home in which they live. Hug Hound Day is a gentle reminder that our four-legged friend deserves our love and attention. This day encourages pets to renew their bond with their dog and show them that they really are your best friend.

This is my favorite holiday. I'm spending it with my little and we are going to color our favorite abstract that we made.

Here's a little fun fact about coloring: The McLoughlin Brothers company is seen as having invented the first coloring book, The Little Folks' Painting Book, in the 1880's. Early on, paint was used in coloring books instead of crayons, and crayons didn't gain popularity until the 1930's. Coloring is seen as being both beneficial to children and adults, and helpful for those going through trauma, and those trying to de-stress. National Coloring Day was started by Jace Shoemaker-Galloway, "Queen of the Holidays".
