From PreK-12, student agency is a foundational pillar of our approach. 🎒✨ Swipe to see 3 of our independence builders and how you can use them at home to get school-ready:

1️⃣ TIME: Customizing High School Schedules = Let your child choose parts of their morning routine.

2️⃣ TOOLS: Built-In Accountability with CJs = Have them organize their own backpack, workspace, or school supplies.

3️⃣ MINDSET: Fearless Classrooms = Ask open questions like, "What are you excited to take on this year?" instead of "Are you ready?"

When students are given ownership over their time, tools, and mindset, real confidence follows.💡

🍂With September right around the corner, the first day of school will be here soon. But we love looking back and remembering the last day of school. 🎉 A favorite part is these end-of-year celebrations when we proudly share everything our students accomplished, honor the passionate teachers who brought out the best in them, and reminisce on all of the joy and discovery that filled our Lower School.
We’re counting down the days until we welcome you back. Enjoy the rest of your summer, Wildcats! ✨

Student agency starts with trusted leadership. 🌱 For years, Ms. R and Ms. Delaney have been empowering our students to take ownership of their learning, step outside their comfort zones, and lead with confidence.

As they transition into their elevated Student Affairs roles, they are focused on building structures that give students even more voice, independence, and support across both Lower and Upper Schools.

Swipe through to see what they’re reading this summer and how they plan to foster student agency this fall. ➡️

Summer Spotlight on Wildcat Achievements: The #1 Essay in the Entire Network! 🏆✍️

While middle schools across 20+ campuses awarded local winners, Ellie A. (Gr. 7) took 1st Place overall across the entire nation!

In the inaugural Spring Education Group Discovery History Challenge, over 400 middle schoolers wrote on “Courage During Crisis: Acts of Bravery in World War II.” Ellie’s essay, "Keeping the Spirit Alive in the Darkest Hours," earned the top prize out of every submission for her moving exploration of how artists, teachers, and librarians sustained their community during the Siege of Leningrad.

Swipe through to read an inspirational conclusion from Ellie's essay and see a special note of gratitude for her history teacher, Ms. Hill! 📸👉

NYC is Our Classroom: The Great End-of-Year Field Trip Blitz 🗽🎒

In the school year’s final weeks, our incredible teachers used world-class museums, historic landmarks, restaurants, and cultural institutions to give our students real-world experiences and expand their knowledge beyond what they thought they knew.

From Broadway stages and the United Nations Headquarters to a local nursing home and the New York Hall of Science, our Wildcats took full advantage of everything NYC has to offer! 🧪 🎭 🏰 🌍

Swipe through to see how our primary, middle, and high school students experienced their education in the real world. 📸👇

Summer Spotlight on Wildcat Achievements! 🏆 This time, we’re talking about our student-athletes.

Back in June, our Middle and High School Track & Field teams competed in the CPSAL Outdoor City Championships in Mount Vernon, taking home some massive wins:

🥇 1st Place – Girls 4x800 Relay Team: This incredible group of grade 8 runners beat out every single competing high school team by an astonishing 1 minute and 13 seconds! All four athletes—Eva C., Annika C., Sophia Y., and Annette Y.—clocked personal-best times.

🥈 2nd Place – Siri O. (Gr. 11): Flying a distance of 15' 8" in the Long Jump, Siri not only finished second in the City, but she also tied her all-time personal record!

We are already looking forward to starting up competitive athletics again this fall so our Wildcats can keep showing up and performing at the highest level.

Leave a comment below to send them your congratulations or say what sport you're excited about for the 2026-27 school year! 🎉
