Art for a Start offers quality visual arts education and instruction for children teenagers and adul Children are creative.

They want to make art, explore, touch and experiment with materials. They need to make art as much as they need to learn how to read, write, approach math and science, etc. Art for a Start utilizes an ‘inquiry based’ approach to teaching art. An open-ended dialogue replaces ‘Lecturing’ and the students are encouraged to create their own vocabulary and set of tools to perceive, understand and make

Hi Friends!
I’m excited to share that I am part of the ! This $5,000 award was created to activate and energize New York City’s artists and engage the public with arts activities this summer and fall. I’m proud to bring you the below art workshop. Thank you for being part of my creative journey, and thanks to , , , and for the support!

I'm offering a free art workshop to students ages 8-11 this coming Sunday on 34th Ave and 94th street at 4:00 PM (open street)! This class is a part of my NYFA Artist Corp grant which I was fortunate to receive this past month.
The workshop is inspired by Austrian painter, artist, and architect, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. In this workshop, we will look at his work, his marvelous paintings and architectural propositions for "green cities' and the integration of green rooftops and green public spaces into public plazas. We will work with a variety of materials, (including watercolors) to create and envision cities, buildings, and public spaces that incorporate natural/organic forms and nature's 'interventions.
Spaces for this workshop are limited (First come, first served) because of the limitations of materials/seats/class size. To register, please email me your child's name, age, and phone number. I will be sending reminders on Saturday night.
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
