Nothing humbles a homeschool mom faster than having to actually DO the adorable lesson she planned when she was feeling wildly ambitious. 😂🍎

Like yes, apparently Past Me thought we were going to read 17 books, do the apple science experiment, make the sensory bin, bake something, AND discuss the life cycle of an apple… all before lunch.

This is exactly why I started making seasonal homeschool resources that are actually easy to pull out and use. You can still give your kids those cozy, hands-on fall homeschool memories without spending eight hours planning them first. 🤪

Give me all the autumn picture books, fall nature studies, fun sensory bins, apple unit studies, pumpkin projects, nature walks, crafts, baking, and wooden boards.

Could I shove my kids outside and call it a day? Sure.
Hand them a worksheet and hop back on my phone? Yup.

But I didn’t choose homeschooling because I wanted to do the bare minimum. I chose it because I wanted the freedom to give my children an education built around how they actually learn best.

Sometimes that means more preparation for me. More books to gather. More supplies to pull out. More messes to clean up.

But I’m okay with that.

So yes, I’ll keep making autumn wildly educational. 🍎🍁🎃

Not because I have to.

Because I get to. 🤌🏻

And because when I have the freedom to choose between what is easiest for me and what I believe is best for my children, I’m going to keep choosing them.

Rich because I married a man who never needed convincing that homeschooling our children was worth it.

He never questioned why I wanted them home. He never made me prove that I could do it. He simply trusted me, supported me, and made it possible for us to build our family life around faith, home, and raising our children together.

There are a lot of ways to measure wealth, but having a husband who believes in your calling as a mother and supports your decision to homeschool? That feels pretty rich to me. 🤌🏻

Homeschooling our children has been one of the greatest gifts God has given our family, and I will never stop being grateful that I get to do it beside a man who believes in it too.

Motherhood is just weird like that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can’t think of anything I’d rather do less every day than make dinner. I’m fine with homeschooling. Give me ten toilets to clean. 13 loads of laundry? Fine. But dinner? Nah. I’m out.
