Chinese Contemporary Buddhist Art Exhibition U.S. Tour – New York

由美國中國文化中心、亞洲交流與合作基金會主辦，慧橋（美國）咨詢公司承辦的《中國當代佛教藝術美國巡展• 紐約》即將在2017年4月8日至11日紐約舉辦。本次巡展為紐約的觀眾呈現由五位中國藝術大師（姜雪雁、凌海成、王志遠、釋本如、林良豐）所帶來的近150件風格多樣但都不乏中國特色與當代氣息的佛教藝術作品。參展的五位藝術家不僅是多年從事佛教藝術創作的翹楚，更是著作等身的專家學者，或是素有修爲的高僧居士。書法、繪畫、攝影，無論是傳統技藝還是現代科技，此次作品都突出了當代中國藝術家對基礎佛教義理的理解和表現、對傳統佛教藝術的繼承和發展。

展覽緣起
2016年8月24 日，中國亞太交流與合作基金會執行副主席肖武男應聯合國多家機構、加州政府和相關機構的邀請，出訪了紐約和洛杉磯，就如何在聯合國的框架範圍內，推動和加強中國與世界各地的人文交流，及創建中美人文交流常態機制等事宜，進行了卓有成效的訪問，取得豐富訪問成果。

中國佛教藝術，源遠流長，像一條大河，綿延已近兩千年。時至今日，中國人還在孜孜以求，採用今天的智慧和技巧，再續往日的風采和精華。《中國當代佛教藝術美國巡展》就是這種嘗試和努力的一點展示，是依然生機勃勃的中國佛教藝術之豹的一個美麗的斑點。
首席書法家沛溪王志遠博士，以大氣磅礡的書法演繹佛法，古稀運毫，筆走龍蛇。來自終南山淨業寺的大和尚大和尚本如法師，以禅修爲基，冷峻高古，出塵脫俗。來自安徽的畫家姜雪雁女士帶來她獨具匠心的“千年佛相”系列的一部分佳作，以唯善唯美的工筆畫法描繪曆史上各佛教地區的菩薩形像，是佛教繪畫界中前所未有的創新之舉。來自廈門的林良豐先生深得敦煌壁畫精髓三昧，古風盎然，幽默靈動，卻不失法度莊嚴。而佛教學者及攝影家淩海成先生展出的是他跨越千山萬水、遍覽歷代石窟所拍下的佛窟淨土。

本次巡展不僅將中國當代佛教藝術帶到美國，更是聯合國“以文明對話，推動世界和平”的系列活動之一，爲配合聯合國後千年發展目標而積極籌辦的。因此，展覽不僅得到美國西來大學、美國漢天衛視、國際佛光會紐約協會、北京四德文化傳播有限公司的協力支持，還收到佛光山星雲大師的祝福，紐約站開幕當天也邀請了中國宗教學會、亞洲交流與合作基金會執行副主席肖武男先生、以及眾多知名學者和社會活動家。本次活動將成為2017年年初中美文化交流、東西文明對話的一個焦點。

Mr. Xiang will be holding a opera concert at Carnegie Hall on March 26, 2017 8PM

Tenor Ziwen Xiang was born in Hunan, China, and performed with the China National Opera House. In July 2014, Mr. Xiang made his U.S. opera debut as Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata at Martina Arroyo's “Young Artist Prelude Development Program” in New York City. His opera credits include Rodolfo in Puccini’s La Bohème.
