Weekend Level 2 students learned the Chinese character “木” (wood). To strengthen their memory of the character, they discussed in Mandarin what objects are made from wood, then practiced writing it with correct stroke order. 🌳✍️

SWAN Intro Level students took on a memory challenge with just 1 minute to memorize card placements, then matched over 30 Chinese characters they’ve learned with the correct images! 🧠🏆

SWAN Accelerated Kindergarten students built their own boats and passed the floating test 🚤✨During this STEAM project, they shared their ideas in Chinese, and some students challenged themselves by adding engines and seats for people with disabilities.

📚 SWAN’s PS 124 Afterschool Advanced students challenged themselves in a sentence formation exercise using the 8 Chinese characters they learned that week. They each formed 16 phrases and sentences and presented them in front of the class.🗣️

SWAN Accelerated Kindergarten students took math to the next level!🧮✨They can already read and solve advanced division word problems in Chinese independently.
