We had so much fun that we forgot to post! 🤭 Not only did we learn about composer Ignatius Sancho (and listen to our teachers play one of his compositions), we also worked on posture and dynamics.

AND, we’re getting ready for our final four classes of the year starting May 7 in Battery Park and the West Village - don’t forget to sign up! In the meantime, see you on this week for “Band Practice Sunday” (check your emails tomorrow, friends!)

Thank you for the BEAUTIFUL photos, ❤️

HOORAY for 2022, friends! We hope you had wonderful holiday celebrations full of relaxation, good health, and hopefully a little hot chocolate (our favorite). ☕️

Normally, we take off January to brainstorm and refresh for our winter/spring semester. This year, we’re “hibernating” a little longer until late spring and early summer: we want to keep everybody healthy by avoiding group gatherings indoors while it’s cold, and, two of our faculty members are expecting babies very soon! 🍼

Not to fear: Bow & Heart likes to call it “productive hibernation” and we’re cooking up some awesome park classes and Zoom sessions for a bit later on in 2022. Don’t forget to check-in with your private teachers about what’s coming, AND keep an eye-out here, our website, and on your email inboxes for all of our EXCITING plans! 🎻💫

See you very soon, friends! Stay cozy. ☃️

WHAT an amazing day! Today was our last in-person class of the semester and it couldn’t have been more cozy and delightful. Thank you to Ms. Chelsea and Ms. Hilary for leading a fabulous class and bringing the yummy hot chocolate, and to our students and families for their excitement and beautiful playing. We can’t wait until the next time we’re all together!

Have a wonderful holiday and we’ll see you on Zoom in December, friends!

We had a SUPER spooktacular Halloween class yesterday on Zoom! We discovered eerie extended techniques on our instruments (col legno skeleton bones, tremolo wind), learned a spooky piece, and revisited some of our favorite Suzuki pieces with a Halloween twist.

Swipe to see Ms. the lamb working on spider bows, Ms. the wizard leading us in an A Minor Twinkle, and Ms. the flower child trying to catch it all on camera📱🎃👻

Warm-ups, bow games, flying music, concerto teamwork, rubber-band scrolls, walking-while-playing, jell-os and blues… whatever we’re up to in class, it’s a BALL! Another super fun park class in the books thanks to our teachers , , and , and our awesome students and families who made the trek to Central Park today! 🌟🎻

HELLO from your friends at Bow & Heart! Boy have we missed you this summer. We can hardly contain our excitement to be back.

While we’d hoped for indoor, in-person classes this fall, we’ve decided that as we’re still learning more about the Delta variant, we’ll keep each other safe by meeting outdoors in our city’s BEAUTIFUL parks. We’ll also meet once-a-month online too, because wasn’t that awesome last year?

In the coming days, we’ll announce our park locations for outdoor classes, and our fabulous themes for our Zoom classes. Take a peek at the second slide for dates.

Here’s some more exciting news: registration is NOW OPEN! We welcome all New York City violinists to our park classes, and violinists from around the globe to our Zoom instruction. If you’re interested, there are a few ways to sign-up or grab some more information:
🎻 Message us here or email [email protected]
🎻 Log onto http://www.bowandheart.com/enroll-in-classes
🎻 OR, if you’re a returning student, simply log onto http://www.bowandheart.com/purchaseclasses !

Rosin those bows, friends… it’s time to play together again! 💫
