Hi families 🤍 I wanted to share a more personal update as I continue moving through this next season of my business and life.

I’ve been posting less lately, and that will continue moving forward. Over the next 6 months, my availability will be very limited as I focus on the families I’m currently committed to and the responsibilities I’ve already taken on.

This work has grown far beyond what I originally imagined back in 2022. I’ve had the privilege of building real relationships, gaining experience, and growing alongside families in a way that has been deeply meaningful. I currently support a small group of consistent families I’ve worked with over the past couple of years, including families I’ve been with since 2022. Over time, I’ve watched households grow, routines change, and little ones develop in ways I feel honored to have witnessed.

At the same time, I’ve also found myself appreciating more time at home with my own children and being intentional about what I take on moving forward. I’m currently in a season of reflection — figuring out what I want the next chapter of this work to look like while still showing up fully for the families I’ve built trust with.

I’m still available for questions about scheduling and existing commitments, and I will always do my best to communicate clearly about availability.

To every family who has trusted me since 2022 until now — thank you. The relationships, consistency, and growth mean more than I can put into words. 🤍

This isn’t an ending — just a new chapter of balance, intention, and continued care.

My babysitting schedule has been pretty full lately, so I don’t have any new availability to post at the moment. However, I’m always happy to connect with families who may need in-home care for future dates or special occasions when possible.

I wanted to share a quick update regarding Tabetha’s Family-Based Care. 💜

I know I’ve been posting less, and that’s because I’ve been focused on fulfilling the early requests that were made and supporting the consistent families I work with. I’m incredibly grateful that my babysitting service has grown into something more stable and rooted in long-term trust.

I want to apologize to the families who have reached out for dates I couldn’t accommodate. I truly appreciate every request, even when I’m unable to say yes. I also want to apologize to the few families this winter who experienced cancellations or schedule changes — it is always my responsibility to fulfill my commitments, but as a mother of five, sometimes things beyond my control arise. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Coming into 2026, I’ve been more intentional about balancing my availability between the families I serve and my own family. Because of this, I’ve been holding more dates for my family while continuing to support my current bookings.

Moving forward:
• Spring Break — unavailable
• Fourth of July — unavailable
• Summer — limited availability

I’ll also be posting less frequently on Facebook, with most availability updates shared through Instagram and email.

🤒 Sick Policy

To keep all the kids (and me!) healthy, I’m unable to provide care when a child is sick.

If your child has any of the following, please let me know and reschedule care:
• Fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher, or if fever-reducing medicine was used in the past 24 hours
• Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
• Persistent cough, wheezing, or heavy congestion
• Thick green or yellow nasal discharge
• Eye redness or discharge (pink eye symptoms)
• Rashes of unknown origin
• Contagious illnesses (like flu, RSV, COVID-19, hand-foot-mouth, strep throat, lice, etc.)

Children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication before returning.

If a child becomes sick while in my care, I’ll reach out for prompt pickup, since I can’t continue care once symptoms appear.

Thank you for understanding — these guidelines help me keep every child safe, happy, and healthy!

🌦️ Extreme Weather Policy (All Seasons)

The safety of the children in my care — and my ability to travel safely — is always my top priority.

Care may be canceled, delayed, or rescheduled due to extreme or unsafe weather. Examples include:

Winter:
• Extreme cold or dangerous wind chills
• Snowstorms, ice, freezing rain
• Unsafe road conditions

Spring / Fall:
• Flooding
• Severe storms
• High winds or unsafe travel conditions

Summer:
• Extreme heat warnings
• Poor air quality
• Severe storms or weather-related travel risks

I’ll notify families as early as possible if care is affected. These decisions are made with safety first — not convenience. If conditions become unsafe unexpectedly, care may need to end early or not start.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my current availability so it’s easier to plan ahead:

🗓 Weekend Dates: Feb 21 | Mar 8, 21, 28 | Spring Break Apr 6–12 | Apr 18, 26 | May 2
⏰ Weekday Mornings: 9am–1pm

I know not everyone plans months in advance—and that’s okay! Being a one-person operation, booking early is the best way to make sure I can care for everyone’s kiddos.

⚠️ Weekend spots won’t open again until April, so if you need weekends, now’s the time to reserve. I’m also available after 8pm for late-night date nights, work events, or anything that comes up!

I’m also updating my CPR certification and taking new courses in child development, behavior, and safety—so if you ever want to see my credentials, I’m happy to share.

I’m Tabetha Mezon, a family-based, in-home childcare provider serving Astoria, LIC, and NYC. I’ve been providing hands-on childcare since 2022, working directly in families’ homes and supporting children of all ages through their daily routines, emotional needs, and growth. I’m also a mom of five, which shapes my approach — patient, structured, and deeply understanding that every child is different.

✨ Reflecting on 2025 ✨

This past year, I spent 91 days with some of the most amazing kids — laughing, learning, wiping tears, and building trust. Every day has been about being a steady presence, someone the children can count on, and someone who feels like family when parents aren’t home.

As 2026 begins, I’m excited to step into this new chapter as a Family-Based Childcare Provider. My mission is simple: reliable, loving, professional in-home care that nurtures children, strengthens bonds, and gives parents peace of mind.
