The beauty of Agile is you don’t need to adhere to one particular framework. You can mix and match to create a framework that works best for your team. One of the popular examples is using Scrumban to run your projects.

Here are the basic steps to implementing Scrumban:

1️⃣Start with the Scrum framework: Define the roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team), events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective), and artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment).
2️⃣Remove strict time-boxing: Eliminate the strict time-boxing of Scrum, and instead, allow the team to pull work when they have capacity.
3️⃣Implement a Kanban board: Use a Kanban board to visualize the workflow and track work in progress.
4️⃣Limit work in progress (WIP): Set WIP limits to prevent the team from taking on too much work at once.
5️⃣Continuous improvement: Use the Sprint Retrospective to identify areas for improvement and make changes to the process.
6️⃣Focus on flow: Focus on optimizing the flow of work through the system, rather than completing work within a specific time-box.

By using Scrumban, teams can benefit from the structure and framework of Scrum, while also having the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and work at their own pace.

Sharing a story of one of my IT Project Management Course students. She joined the program with:
