Our first full concert program is next week in Doc Rando Recital Hall on UNLV’s campus at 2:00pm!

It’s going to be a really special program. Singing with these amazing humans fills my heart and soul and means the world to me. I hope those of you local can make it! We’re a young group, but we’re going places, Friends.

In case you need more incentive than hearing excellent, beautiful music making in real time, here’s what the interwebs has to say about its health benefits:

“Hearing and participating in live group singing boosts health by releasing “happy hormones” (endorphins, oxytocin), reducing stress hormone cortisol, synchronizing heartbeats for social bonding, improving breathing and immune function, and enhancing mood, cognition, and social connection, offering psychological relief and physical benefits across ages.

The combination of controlled breathing, collective rhythmic synchronization, and the release of positive neurochemicals creates a powerful, holistic effect, making group singing a rich resource for overall health and well-being.”

So hydrate, take your vitamins, practice good sleep hygiene, move every day, and come to our concert—your health will benefit! 😁

Thank you, Morgan mwood2013, and all of the RRT staff, for a truly unforgettable experience!!! It meant the world to be with you in this moment and watch you give the gift of your performance and portrayal of Eliza to the world. Your Eliza is with so much strength, heart, sass, humor, artistry, and virtuosity to boot—absolutely stellar in every way. It was so special for my Mom to get to meet you (her grand-student!!) and witness your gifts in action on Broadway.

We are SO PROUD of you, Boo, and we know, without a doubt, Mama Bear, Dr. Willis stargazers_symphony, is, too!!!

Had the absolute Joy of seeing stargazers_symphony’s student and dear soul Morgan Anita Wood mwood2013 perform as Eliza on Broadway with my Mom this weekend. I made sure we’d get to see her up-close-and-personal, and it was a stunning performance!!! PSA for - float therapy has become one of my non-negotiables of self care. I’ve been going for about a year and a half now on a monthly basis, and I highly recommend!! The nervous system regulation, tension release, and meditative state achieved is amazing. If I go too long without a float, I can definitely feel it! If you’re in Las Vegas, get thee to the spa, my Friends. Moss and the Fam will take GREAT care of you! 💖🙏🏻💖

Y’all, words fail me to describe what it was like to be at Beyoncé’s final Cowboy Carter show in Las Vegas on July 26. MIND. BLOWN. The woman is a genius. Full. Stop. 🤯🤯🤯

About Mary McMurtery Voice Studio

Do you love the idea of singing on stage? When you create something bigger than yourself… being able to express your thoughts and emotions through the power of music… transcending your troubles and setting your fears aside. You long to share your heart and soul through song, being transformed in the process, but something's been holding you back...

Perhaps you have no problem singing along with your favorite tunes when you're alone in your car or doing work around the house. You love that free, expressive feeling you get when you sing on your own, but any time you try to sing in front of someone else, you shut down, and you don't know how to get beyond that crushing wall of fear. Or maybe you've been singing in choir or church for years, and people tell you, "Hey! You've got a great voice! You should study music!" But you've never had private lessons, and you don't know how to read music, so how in the world would you start? Maybe you even wonder, "Am I good enough?"

Hello, Friend! I see you, and I'm here for you. If any of this resonates--you are definitely in the right place!

Looking to make it in to your dream choir, vocal ensemble, or get cast in the school show? I help dedicated teens to hone their vocal technique and sharpen their musicianship and performance skills by challenging them in private lessons through a process of self-discovery, empowering them to become unique independent artists.
