The teacher in me sees the learning. The mom in me just sees the magic. ✨

There are so many moments when I catch myself noticing the skills—the coordination, problem-solving, curiosity, cause and effect, sensory exploration… all the things I’ve spent years learning about and teaching.

Then I remember: she doesn’t need me to turn every moment into a lesson. Sometimes she just needs the freedom to explore, make music, laugh, and be little. 🥹💗

And I get the privilege of watching both the learning and the magic happen at the same time. 🌱

For so long, I thought success meant building more, doing more, accomplishing more.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I was really building something much more important—a life where I could be present for the little moments. 🤍

The random giggles. The playground mornings. The “Hi, chickens.” 😂🐥 The moments that seem so ordinary now but I know I’ll miss one day.

I’m still ambitious. I’m still building. I’m still dreaming big.

I just measure success a little differently now. 🌿

This is the life I was working so hard to create. 🥹🤍

One of the things I love most about raising a child in the Town of Babylon is the abundance of beautiful parks and community spaces where children can simply be children. 💙

These moments may look like “just playing,” but they are so much more. Every climb, slide, chase, and laugh helps build confidence, social skills, problem-solving abilities, and friendships.

As an educator, I know that some of the most meaningful learning happens outside of a classroom. As a mom, I am grateful for communities that invest in spaces where children can explore, connect, and create lasting memories.

Thank you, Town of Babylon, for providing families with places that encourage play, movement, and community. 🌳☀️

A year ago, I never would have imagined posting a picture of my daughter eating a rib.

Feeding journeys are not always straightforward. There were times when trying a new food felt overwhelming, and even being near certain textures was a challenge. Today, she not only explored a rib—she ate one! 🎉

As a mom, I celebrate every milestone. As an educator, I know that progress often happens in small, consistent steps. What may seem simple to some families can represent months (or years) of hard work, trust, and support for others.

I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Krystle at Long Island Speech & Feeding Therapy for her patience, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey. Her coaching has helped build confidence, expand food exploration, and create positive experiences around mealtime.

Today wasn’t just about eating a rib. It was about courage, growth, and a reminder that progress is possible when we meet children where they are. 💕

So proud of you, Aura. One bite at a time. ✨
