Faculty Spotlight! Faculty member Joseph Baker has written a new musical that opens next month! Don’t miss BROOKLYN’S BRIDGE at running August 7th-23rd 🔨 Tickets and more info available at
Congratulations, Mr. B! We couldn’t be prouder 👏
“BROOKLYN’S BRIDGE is inspired by the extraordinary life of Emily Roebling, wife of the Brooklyn Bridge’s Chief Engineer Washington Roebling. When her husband suddenly becomes bedridden while working on the project, Emily Roebling fearlessly steps in. For the next eleven years, she spearheads the construction of the bridge, handling all engineering and political issues. So much so that the New York Times recently revised their obituary to acknowledge that “SHE built the bridge.” Follow the story of Emily Roebling as she navigates uncharted waters as a Victorian woman in a man’s world.”
Music by Joseph Baker ()
Book & Lyrics by Ray Roderick (.roderick)
Direction by Ray Roderick
Music Direction by Blake Brauer
Choreography by Kelli Barclay

“Set over the course of one night beneath a streetlamp in a park, Revelation follows two close friends whose familiar ritual of jokes, drinks, and playful arguments is interrupted by an unexpected announcement. A seemingly absurd conversation about an epiphany and a bottle of champagne gradually becomes something more intimate: a confrontation with the choices that pull people forward and the uncertainty of who we become when the life we know begins to change.”
Congratulations to Kevin, Sancho, and Sofía 🍾
