📖 Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Surah Quraysh)

🔹 الآية 1
﴿ لِإِيلَافِ قُرَيْشٍ ﴾
“For the familiarity (Ilāf) of the Quraysh.”
Tafsir:
Allah mentions the blessings He gave to Quraysh. “Ilāf” refers to their alliance and regular journeys, which were a means of their livelihood and status. Ibn Kathir notes that Allah made their trade routes safe and productive due to the sanctity of the Ka’bah.

🔹 الآية 2
﴿ إِيلَافِهِمْ رِحْلَةَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالصَّيْفِ ﴾
“Their familiarity with the journey of winter and summer.”
Tafsir:
These journeys refer to:
• Winter to Yemen (south)
• Summer to Syria (north)
Allah protected their caravans and made them successful in both seasons. Their trade was blessed because they were custodians of the Sacred House (Ka‘bah), and people respected them.

🔹 الآية 3
﴿ فَلْيَعْبُدُوا رَبَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ ﴾
“So let them worship the Lord of this House.”
Tafsir:
Ibn Kathir explains this as a command and a reminder. Since Allah gave them safety, trade, and status due to the Ka‘bah, it is only right that they should worship the Lord of the Ka‘bah, not idols. Gratitude must lead to obedience.

🔹 الآية 4
﴿ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍ ﴾
“Who has fed them against hunger and made them safe from fear.”
Tafsir:
This verse summarizes the two greatest worldly blessings:
• Provision against hunger: through trade and protection.
• Security from fear: no tribe dared attack them because of their connection to the Ka‘bah.
Ibn Kathir mentions the contrast with other cities which faced punishment when they turned away from Allah. Here, Allah is reminding Quraysh: Your comfort is from Me — so worship Me.

﴿ وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ مَكَانَ الْبَيْتِ أَن لَّا تُشْرِكْ بِي شَيْئًا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْقَائِمِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ﴾
[ الحج: 26]
Surat Al- Kahf
Turkish translation

"In the voices of top Egyptian Qur’an reciters.”
Kur’an, seçkin Mısırlı hâfızların sesinden okunmuştur.”
“وَأَشْرَقَتِ الْأَرْضُ بِنُورِ رَبِّهَا وَوُضِعَ الْكِتَابُ وَجِيءَ بِالنَّبِيِّينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَقُضِيَ بَيْنَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ " (69) الزمر
Sahih International):
“And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord, and the record [of deeds] will be placed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be judged between them in truth, and they will not be wronged.”
