Last night we had such an awesome turnout for our author event! We loved having Jonathan Haidt present to our students and families about his new book, The Amazing Generation! 📚
A huge thanks to our PTA for sending everyone home with their own copy of the book.
And last but certainly not least - a BIG shout to Kimmy McGuire Tabb for putting together and making this amazing event happen for our school community!! 💙💛

Submit Testimony to SAVE and hold NYC Department of Youth and Community Development accountable!
Sign up to speak on May 28th or send in written statements to the committee by May 30th!
The Council’s Committee on Finance and Committee on Children and Youth intend to question DYCD more broadly about their handling of the contracting process during their joint public hearing on the Mayor’s executive budget on May 28.
If you would like to testify at that hearing, you may register to do so on the Council’s website here. https://council.nyc.gov/testify/
Public testimony will begin immediately following the testimony of any invited experts and will be limited to two minutes per person to allow as many people as possible to present their views.
Individuals may also submit written testimony by uploading it at https://council.nyc.gov/testify or emailing it directly to [email protected]. Written testimony will be accepted up to 72 hours after the hearing has been adjourned.

Last week, NYC Department of Youth and Community Development decided not to renew Manhattan Youth, our beloved afterschool program of 11 years!
The closed door bidding process forced principals to rank programs that they didn’t want and told them to not include stakeholders in the process.
Sign this petition to SAVE Our Afterschool Program and Demand Accountablility from DYCD for Vendor Contract. Please share widely!
