We are filled with gratitude for the community weβve built over the last 13 years! Thank you!
4 Things Your Child Needs For Summer Camp:
1. Bug or insect repellent. Insect repellent wipes is an easy way to ward off bug bites. Wipes are easy for your child to apply and help avoid accidents that are possible with bug spray.
2. Sunscreen. Your child will be spending a lot of time in the sun. Pack sunscreen to prevent sunburn and we also recommend you pack lip balm with SPF to avoid chapped lips.
3. Snacks. Campers use up a lot of energy. Easy-to-pack fruit (such as apples, oranges, and grapes) and "old reliables" such as:
Granola bars or cereal bars
Popcorn
Pretzels
Raisins
Sliced cheese, string cheese, or mini cheeses
Trail mix
Veggies and dip (such as celery with peanut butter or carrots with hummus) will help them keep fuel in the tank!
4. Water. Pack a refillable water bottle, or a few bottles of bottled water. This will keep your child from getting dehydrated. Freeze the bottles the night before. As the ice melts throughout the day, your child will have cold and refreshing drinks.

Singing is a fun way to learn and remember a new language. Remember this French classic?
"Frère Jacques... Frère Jacques
Dormez vous? Dormez vous?
Sonnez les matines... Sonnez les matines
Ding ding d**g...Ding ding d**g."

When we're not outside or during rainy days, activities like βRoboticsβ keep campers engaged.
We help prepare children for the many opportunities they will get in life with the additional language and social skills they'll need as they grow.
Cooking at Camp Bonjour NY is one of the favorite activities of the kids. π
Here are 5 "kid friendly" French foods that children like:
1. Crepes- Crepes are basically thin pancakes that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
2. Quiches- Similar to an American casserole, This food is child friendly and deliciously filled with egg, vegetables, and cheese encased in a flaky pie.
3. Croque Monsieur- I know it sounds sooo exotic but it is actually just a hot ham and cheese sandwich. :)
4. Chocolate mousse- A delightful, fluffy chocolate dessert that gets most mouths watering.
5. And...Tarte aux Fruits- This is simply a fruit tart served for dessert. Yummy! π

Children teach us when we see someone without a smile, to give them one of ours.
