🍂 Why Do Leaves Fall? 🍂
As autumn rolls in, trees start preparing for winter. They cut off the water supply to their leaves, causing chlorophyll—the green pigment in leaves—to break down. This reveals other vibrant pigments, like reds, yellows, and oranges. Eventually, the tree seals off the leaf stem, making the leaf fall. This clever process helps trees conserve energy and water through the cold months ahead!
