Today, the Grand Lodge of New York commemorates Juneteenth, a day that marks the fulfillment of freedom for the last enslaved Americans and serves as a reminder of our nation’s continuing journey toward liberty and equality.

As Freemasons, we are guided by the principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth, and we honor the dignity, worth, and humanity of all people.

May this day inspire reflection, unity, and a renewed commitment to the ideals of freedom and justice for all.

As our nation prepares to commemorate America’s 250th Anniversary, we pause today to honor the Stars and Stripes—the enduring symbol of the freedoms, ideals, and sacrifices that have shaped our Republic for nearly two and a half centuries.

For 250 years, generations of Americans have worked to build a nation founded upon liberty, equality, and self-government. As Masons, we are proud that many of the principles we cherish—brotherhood, civic virtue, personal responsibility, and service to others—have helped strengthen the communities and institutions that make our nation great.

On this Flag Day, let us remember those who have defended our flag, reflect upon the blessings of citizenship, and recommit ourselves to leaving a stronger country for the generations that will follow us into America’s next century.

May Old Glory continue to inspire unity, hope, and opportunity as we approach America 250.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to duty secured the freedoms we enjoy each day.

On this Memorial Day, the Grand Lodge of New York joins with Americans everywhere in reflecting with gratitude upon those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May we never forget their service, their families, and the enduring legacy they leave behind.

Let us honor them not only in remembrance, but in how we live — through service, unity, compassion, and dedication to something greater than ourselves.
