Announcing the Top 64 Teams!!
The Brewer Foundation and New York University are proud to announce the “Top 64” teams for the 23rd annual International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) – the first and only contest that gives high school students around the world the opportunity to engage in written and oral debates on issues of public policy.

This year’s qualifying round involved submissions from a record 311 teams, representing schools in 26 countries and 33 U.S. states. This is the largest year in competition history.

The IPPF would like to thank all of its student competitors for the time you spent researching this year’s topic, “Resolved: Governments should provide a universal basic income.” The judges enjoyed reviewing your submissions, and we look forward to sharing their evaluations with you in the month ahead.

The judges were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the work product and written advocacy. Not advancing to the Round of 64 is not a negative reflection of your work – it just speaks to the number of entries, the caliber of the essays, and the overall competitiveness of the field.

Below, you will find a list of advancing teams in alphabetical order. Given that some schools entered more than one essay, the names of the students on the advancing teams are included below.
