Collegiate students from Parsons The New School for Design and Stevens Institute of Technology celebrate after they learn they have taken first place in the first U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon Affordability Contest, which they tied for first alongside Purdue University. Parsons NS Stevens house has an estimated cost of $229,890, and will be donated to Habitat for Humanity following the conclusion of the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2011 in Washington, D.C., Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011.
