🐾 A WILD field trip for some of our kiddos to the Saratoga Branch of the where we met the amazing Children’s librarian, Ms. Donna, got library cards, browsed the shelves, and did some art! 🐾 Thanks for having us! 🐾

🧵 In honor of Black History Month, PS5 students 3k to grade 5 created a quilt square exhibition inspired by their study of the Quilts of Gee’s Bend in Alabama. 🧵 The students LOVED this activity and the end result was beyond our wildest dreams! 🧵 This project was supported by our P2L partnership and fabric donations from . 🧵

Today was 📖 World Read Aloud Day! 📖 Our Junior Lighthouse Team read to a little buddy (or two) during the 4K library time this morning! Shout out to all of our amazing big & little buddies! We had such a fun morning!

🟨 It’s International LEGO Day! 🟨 After learning some fun facts, we made LEGO snow plows, shovels, and tow trucks today to celebrate! 🟨 DID YOU KNOW? LEGO comes from the Danish words leg godt meaning “let’s play!” 🟨

🖤 Learning about MLK this week with analyzing historical photographs and a STEM challenge with grades 1-5! 🖤 Have a productive MLK day of action Monday! 🖤
