Aloha mai kākou, Hālau Kū Māna ʻohana,

We want to clear up some confusion about which ʻOnipaʻa March our kula will be participating in this year.

Hālau Kū Māna will be marching on January 17th — the actual date of the overthrow.

Before this school year began, we planned our calendar with the understanding that the march would be held on the actual day. Because we felt it was important for our entire ʻohana to stand together, we designated January 17th as our Lā ʻOhana #3 so families could join us in marching and honoring this important moment in our history.

We will have a small presence in support on January 16th, but our whole kula will be marching and commemorating the illegal overthrow together on January 17th with our ʻohana.

Mahalo for your patience and understanding as we continue to ground our haumāna in truth, history, and aloha ʻāina.

We look forward to seeing you all on January 17th, more info forthcoming!
