In 2024, NHPI women working full-time, year-round were paid just 67 cents for every dollar paid to non-Hispanic white men, and only 59 cents when including part-time and seasonal workers.

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15, honoring the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the country, including right here in Hawaiʻi.

This month is a good reminder that equity for women and girls includes celebrating and uplifting the diverse cultures that make up our community.

What an inspiring Women's Circle! 21 women, ages 18 to 80+, came together this afternoon to talk Advocacy 101, fueled by delicious food from Madame Saigon. 🌺

We learned that advocacy takes many forms – storytelling, voting, showing up, marching, submitting testimony, posting, writing, and every one of them matters. From anti-bullying efforts to housing to healthcare, we left inspired, connected, and ready to take action.

Advocacy doesn't have to be lofty. Small actions add up to real change. 💜
