ASMI Hawaii Goals and Objectives
The program is directed toward the assessment and treatment of the injured as well as how to safely administer care.

We teach scene management and the legal aspects of an accident. ASMI adds Hawaii..Cat Hammes, RN and Vickie Sanfelipo brought ASMI to Oahu by Hawaii’s Motorcycle Safety Program in May 2012. They trained four instructors at Cycle City Harley Davidson to teach Both Basic and Advanced classes. “A Crash Course for the Motorcyclist” and “Advanced Bystander Assistance” . Cycle City Harley Davidson is hosting the basic class to their patrons as a community service. Initial instructors:Francia Birulin, RN (Cherry Bomb), Kim Fong , RN, James Harbin, US Army, Rich Chandler, Combat Medic US Army. Accident Scene Management, Incorporated is the leading international motorcycle trauma training association. We teach bystanders and EMTs what to do in order to prevent injuries and fatalities to motorcyclists.he purpose of the Bystander Assistance Programs are to enhance the survival rate and reduce severity of injuries for the injured riders of all motorized vehicles. We expect to decrease the chance of rescuer injury due to inappropriate actions at the accident scene. We also expect to educate motorists how to protect themselves legally and financially should an accident occur.

The Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association sponsors the annual Critical Care Transport Nurses Day which takes place on February 18th each year. This day is a way to recognize the uniqueness of what we do and the difference transport nurses make in the lives of their patients.
