Today wasn't just the last day of school for our students. It was also the final day for two incredible staff members: Brien, our HS Department Chair/math teacher, and Ron, our Transition Coordinator. After 15 years at HSDB, Brien is moving on to become the Principal at the Washington School for the Deaf! Ron is also stepping into a well-deserved retirement after 30 years of dedication and service. To wish them well, we surprised them with a special student taiko performance, joined by Brienโ€™s mom and aunt. Weโ€™re sad to see them go but infinitely grateful for their lasting impact. Wishing you both the very best in your next chapters! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿฌ

๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŽ‰ Water Play Day was a splash-tastic success! Students who met their AR reading goals this quarter celebrated with an action-packed day of a dunk tank, water slide, and bounce house fun! Of course, the students couldnโ€™t resist dumping water on some staff members, making the whole day an absolute blast! Hard work and reading success truly paid off, proving that reading opens the door to fun adventures and big rewards! ๐Ÿ“šโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ†
