A weekend full of aloha for Bishop Elect Libby. ✝️

We celebrated her final weekend at Holy Nativity with a beautiful Family Sunday—complete with hula, lei, potluck and plenty of aloha—and gathered one more time at Flag Assembly to honor her and the many ways she has shaped our community.

And what a moment to celebrate: Rev. Libby is the first woman elected to serve as Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Hawaiʻi. 🎉

While we’re going to miss seeing Rev. Libby around campus, we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. Congratulations, Bishop-Elect Libby! We are so proud to celebrate this extraordinary milestone with you. 🌈

Childhood matters here. 💙

There’s still plenty of room in a school day to imagine, create, get messy, laugh, play—and turn a piece of cardboard into a crocodile. 🐊

At HNS, kids have the space to be kids, while being known, challenged and encouraged by a community that truly knows them.

Yesterday, our youngest learners got to MOVE! with the HTY Ensemble right here in the HNS gym. 🎭

Three is a busy age. 🖍️🎶🎨

Painting. Writing. Building. Digging. Pedaling. Singing. Creating. Experimenting. And, apparently, turning cardboard boxes into just about anything.

Our Keiki 3s are learning all day long—but they’re also getting to do something pretty important: enjoy being three.

With small classes and teachers who know them well, there’s time and space for all of it—the big discoveries, the tiny victories, the messy hands, and the wonderfully creative ideas.

🏕️ One of our favorite HNS traditions is kicking off the year with our sixth graders at Camp Mokuleʻia—getting them out of the classroom and into situations that ask them to work together, step up, encourage each other, and try something new.

There were team challenges, plenty of laughs, some ziplining, and a whole lot of problem-solving along the way.

It’s a fun day, but it’s also the start of something bigger: helping our sixth graders grow into the leaders they’re ready to be—and recognizing the impact they can have on the younger students who look up to them.

A pretty great way to start their final year at HNS. Mahalo to the staff at Camp Mokuleʻia and our fabulous chaperones Mrs. Kieburtz, Mr. Gibson, and Rev. Jenn.
