The Medical Assisting program at Kapiʻolani CC prepares students to assist physicians in private medical offices, clinics and hospital outpatient clinics.

Graduates are competent in entry-level clinical and administrative medical assisting.

Our students in their lab courses... practicing on one another. They are able to experience what it is like to not only be the medical assistant but also to experience what your patient will feel while the medical assistant is performing their skills they have learned.

Our 2 Cohorts eager to get out there and be apart of the healthcare hero's team during this crazy pandemic called COVID-19. Free tuition is available to 26 Hawaiʻi residents entering Kapiʻolani Community College's Medical Assisting program through a partnership with The Queen’s Health Systems!

Recipients will gain valuable work experience at The Queen’s Medical Center, while going to school. Those who complete the 12-month program will be eligible to earn a University of Hawaiʻi certificate of achievement in medical assisting. Deadline to apply is June 10th.

If your not a high school senior or a soon to be high school graduate, come and see what our program has to offer!

Our students complete their schooling and training in 15 months and sit for a national certification exam as well!! With lots of jobs waiting for Medical Assistants once they have graduated and become certified!!

Although our application deadline was today March 1st please do not hesitate to contact our health science counselors or our program. You may still be able to qualify for acceptance into our next cohort this Fall 2019!!
