We provide assistance, opportunities, and community for students to excel in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The Native Hawaiian Science & Engineering Mentorship Program (NHSEMP) began in 2001 as a joint initiative between the University of Hawaii at Manoa - College of Engineering and Kamakakuokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies. We are seeking volunteers to assist with packing food kits, carrying boxes and helping out with the drive-by in preparation for Let's Cook Kakou with Na Pua No'eau (our partner).

DID YOU KNOW that the Hawaiian archipelago measures 1,523 miles making it the longest island chain in the world? Known as the North Western Hawaiian Islands (NWHI), these islands and atolls are home to endemic Passerines and Waterbirds such as the Laysan Finch, Nohoa Millerbird, Nihoa Finch, and the Laysan Duck. The NWHI make up Papahānaumokuākea which is the largest fully protected conservation area under the US flag and is one of the largest marine conservation areas in the world.
