Pre-Medical Association at UH Mānoa

PMA’s Spring Banquet 2026 is happening this Thursday! We have 3 spots left so please RSVP to reserve your spot. We’ll be at Dave and Busters Ala Moana to enjoy some food, games, awards, and prizes to commemorate all of your hard work throughout the semester! Last General Meeting of the Semester Today! The last hour will feature a panel of medical students and physicians who will be available to answer any questions you may have! Maybe ask about their road to becoming a physician or MS, or what a day in their life looks like! Attending today you can receive both GM AND Med-Ed Credit!!! And enjoy some malasadas while you do that ☺️

Today at 5:30 PM at Campus Center 307, a JABSOM Physicians Presentation & Panel!
Dr. Kenric Murayama retired as the Chairman of Surgery for JABSOM two years ago, and is now an executive director at HMSA. Dr. Dean Mikami is a physician in the Department of Surgery and is currently on the admissions committee for JABSOM. They’ll be joining us to talk about their journey to medicine and be able to answer any questions!

Our second GM of the semester will be tomorrow, March 25 at KUY 301 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM!
We’ll have our faculty advisor Dr. Shiroma Guest Speaking, as well as our Executive Board Elections for the upcoming school year! Only members present at the meeting will be allowed to vote so be sure to be there to hear from the candidates then cast your votes!

Med-Ed event TOMORROW!
Internal medicine physicians Dr. Lisa Camara and Dr. Arvin Jeremy Tan will provide insight into the field of internal medicine. They will discuss the educational path preceding physician practice, daily work and lifestyle of an internist, and clinical research that internists/medical students may conduct. The physicians will also be available to answer any questions that students in attendance may have.

Even if you aren’t super interested in internal medicine, please stop by, grab a slice of pizza, and feel free to network with these physicians!
