Established in 1996 to serve the needs of the Native Hawaiian community within the context of culture

The Mission of Keiki O Ka `Āina Family Learning Centers (KOKA-FLC) is to Educate Children, Strengthen Families, Enrich Communities and Perpetuate Culture. We fulfill our mission by communicating the vital importance of education, advocating for literacy, supporting parents as their keiki’s first and best teacher, and empowering families to undertake leadership roles in their communities. All of this is done within the context of Hawaiian language, traditions and values.

Ever wonder,
What is a healthy relationship?
What does it look and feel like?

A healthy relationship is where one feels safe and comfortable. A relationship where you take time to get to know each other and share the real you. Although no relationship is perfect, a healthy relationship is based on good communication, trust and respect. Healthy relationships come in many forms; friends, family and romantic, just to name a few.

Ho’ohiki Pilina Program
We all want youth to be ready to experience healthy and happy relationships. From finding strong friendships, all the way to navigate relationships. HPP will help youth build practical skills and knowledge to strengthen their future.

For the past two months, we’ve had the privilege of hosting seniors from Waipahu High School as interns at KOKA Farms Waiawa. 🌱 Through their time on ʻāina, they engaged in hands-on work, led their own projects, learned from inspiring guest speakers, and earned their Ag Literacy Certificate from NCAL.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, growth, and ʻike they’ve shown, and deeply grateful for the aloha they poured back into this ʻāina. Mahalo nui loa to each of them and e hoʻomaikaʻi! 🎓✨
