will be closed today, June 11, in observance of King Kamehameha Day! 🏝 (It's not his birthday. Sorry, Geminis.) This day was created by Kamehameha V in 1871 to honor his late grandfather.
King Kamehameha I, rumored Scorpio, unified the warring Hawaiian islands into a single kingdom in 1810. He also made numerous contributions to Hawaiian culture, economy, and safety, including the Law of the Splintered Paddle (Kānāwai Māmalahoe), which protected children, elders, and non-combatants from harm during times of war. Floral parades and Hoʻolauleʻa (celebrations/block parties) will be held throughout the islands this weekend.

Have a nice weekend! 🌸 What is your favorite plumeria color? These fragrant flowers are synonymous with Hawaiʻi, just like the hibiscus. These hot pink ones are from the Koko Crater Botanical Garden here on Oʻahu. 🌞
