IEEE Student Branch - UH Manoa

The 2026 IEEE Banquet, hosted by the IEEE Student Branch at University of Hawaii at Manoa, marked the return of this tradition for the first time since 2019, bringing together students, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals for an evening of networking, celebration, and community.

The night began with a cocktail hour that created space for meaningful connections, followed by dinner and a live performance by a local artist. Attendees also participated in interactive activities, including a bingo-style networking game and group challenges that encouraged engagement across tables.

The program featured speeches from past, present, and incoming IEEE Student Branch leaders, reflecting on the organization’s impact while looking ahead to its future. The evening concluded with closing remarks and recognition of graduating seniors.

This event was made possible through the generous support of our sponsors, Coffman Engineers, Burns & McDonnell, Rosendin, Bowers + Kubota Consulting, and Ronald N.S. Ho & Associates, Inc., and welcomed professionals from 13 different companies and organizations, creating valuable opportunities for mentorship and connection within the engineering community.

Grateful to everyone who helped bring this event back and make it such a meaningful experience.

We are proud to announce that the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa has been named the 2025 IEEE Region 6 Regional Exemplary Student Branch Award Winner and the 2025 Region 6 Outstanding Medium Student Branch Award Winner!

✨ This marks the first time our branch has ever received BOTH of these prestigious Region 6 awards.

These honors recognize our commitment to leadership, community impact, technical excellence, professional development, and service, reflecting the hard work and passion of our officers, members, and advisors.

Our officers alongside an officer from HPU’s IEEE student branch had the amazing opportunity of flying to Las Vegas and attending the IEEE’s annual conference Rising Stars! Big mahalo to our IEEE Hawai’i section who in part sponsored our trip!
