Last week, our Health Policy Initiative brought and witnessed groundbreaking research to the State Capitol for a dynamic University of Hawaii Research Day.

Spanning projects from environmental and social justice to equitable healthcare access, our faculty and students highlighted work being done in partnership with state agencies, county governments, and communities across Hawaiʻi. We were joined by government leaders, non-profit partners, and community members to discuss how data-driven findings can inform better policymaking
Mahalo to all who presented, participated, and engaged in thoughtful discussion. By working together across sectors to give community voices a seat at the policy table, we can cultivate the mutual understanding needed to drive meaningful change.
