Thank you to everyone who came out to PBA Alumni Night! It was a great event celebrating 20 graduating classes, reconnecting with fellow alumni, and enjoying a delicious meal from Quezada's Salsa, sponsored by Hō'ea - Wealth Advisory Group, with music by Gr!meT!me.

Most importantly, we’re grateful to everyone who helped us raise funds for the Alumni Scholarship Fund. These scholarships will support PBA students who demonstrate financial need and exemplify the qualities of a promising PBA Dragon. We’re proud to invest in the next generation of Dragons and grateful to everyone who helped make this possible!

Today’s Alumni Spotlight features Rev. Blayne Nakasone Sakata, Class of 2014! Many in our PBA community know Rev. Nakasone Sakata from his time serving as PBA’s chaplain and teaching our Buddhist Basics elective. Today, he continues his ministry as Associate Minister of Hilo Hongwanji, carrying forward a life of service, compassion, and leadership. We’re proud to celebrate his journey and all that he continues to do for his community.

As part of the 2026 Legislative Session, Riley Jose ’22 served as a legislative intern for Senator Jarrett Keohokalole’s office at the Hawai’i State Senate. The internship served as her senior practicum, marking the culmination of her Bachelor of Arts in English at UH West O’ahu. Congratulations to Riley on this accomplishment, and best wishes as she continues her professional journey!
