This month’s word is ʻonipaʻa — to stay steady and determined. 🌤
Girl Scouts show ʻonipaʻa when they stick with a challenge, stay true to their values, and follow through on their goals. It connects to the Girl Scout Law: courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do.

Celebrate King Kamehameha 🌺
Across the islands, King Kamehameha Day brings communities together to honor the legacy of leadership, courage, and unity that continues to shape Hawaiʻi today. From parades and lei draping ceremonies to hoʻolauleʻa and community gatherings, there are many ways for Girl Scouts and families to take part in the celebration.
If your Girl Scout attends a parade, lei draping, or other King Kamehameha Day event, share your photos and tag Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi so we can celebrate with you.

In the 1930s, Girl Scouting reached Kauaʻi.
Troops have been active on Kauaʻi since 1933, making it the youngest Girl Scout council in Hawaiʻi. In those early years, girls registered through Oʻahu or as lone troops until Kauaʻi later received its first National Charter in 1950.
That growth helped bring the Girl Scout experience to even more girls across the islands.
