Calling Hawaiʻi artists! 🎨

Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi is seeking a local artist to create an original T-shirt design for our 110th anniversary in 2027.

The commemorative design will honor our 1917 founding under the sponsorship of Queen Liliʻuokalani and Girl Scouting’s history in Hawaiʻi. Artists are encouraged to bring their own creative interpretation to the anniversary theme.

Proposals are due Oct. 1, 2026.

More than 4,000 packages of Girl Scout Cookies. One big way to give back. 🍪

Through the Gift of Caring program, Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi donated more than 4,000 packages of cookies to Hawai‘i Foodbank, supporting its work to nourish our ʻohana and strengthen food security in communities across Hawaiʻi.

This has been one of our greatest Gift of Caring years, made possible by Girl Scouts and cookie customers who chose to make giving back part of cookie season.

That’s a pretty sweet impact.

Oʻahu girls will receive a free case of Thin Mints when they join Girl Scouts, while supplies last. Membership for the 2026-27 Girl Scout year is $80, and scholarships are available.

In the 1990s, Girl Scouting in Hawaiʻi embraced both identity and innovation.

In 1990, the council became the Girl Scout Council of Hawaiʻi, reflecting its statewide reach. One year later, a Hawaiʻi Girl Scout in Space patch traveled aboard the space shuttle Columbia with astronaut Tammy Jernigan, giving local girls a special connection to science and space exploration.

The decade reflected pride in place and showed girls how far their interests might take them.

Help open doors for the next generation of Girl Scouts. 💚

Through the Adopt-a-Troop Initiative, companies across Hawaiʻi can support local Girl Scout troops while giving girls a closer look at the workplaces, skills, and career paths shaping our community.

Participating companies will have opportunities to host workplace visits, connect Girl Scouts with employees, and share professional experiences. Companies may also host a Cookie Boss selling event, where girls strengthen entrepreneurship, communication, goal-setting, and customer service skills.

Girl Scouts of Hawaiʻi is seeking 40 companies to Adopt-a-Troop and help expand these opportunities for girls statewide.
