🍹✨ Cultural Immersion Day at VLSH!

Today our students got a sweet taste of Vietnamese culture by making their very own nước mía (sugarcane juice)! 🌿🥤

The kids had so much fun learning how sugarcane is turned into this refreshing treat and, of course, the best part was getting to enjoy what they made! 😋

At VLSH, we love bringing Vietnamese culture to life through hands-on experiences, traditions, food, and fun. 💛

🌿💚 Thank you, Cô Trần, for teaching us all about Sương Sâm! The kids had so much fun learning about this traditional Vietnamese treat, making their own, and of course, getting to taste some delicious homemade Sương Sâm! ✨

Our students had the opportunity to visit the East-West Center at UH, where they practiced their Vietnamese through real conversations and interviews with parents. Moments like these build confidence, connection, and a deeper appreciation for our language and culture.
