π Helping UHM Freshmen
Access to College Excellence (ACE) is a learning community program that places cohorts of up to fifteen freshmen into clusters of two to three general education courses with a one-credit integrating seminar (CAS 110). ACE gets students started on their graduation requirements and creates a positive social and academic network in their first semester.

Aloha,
We are recruiting Fall 2026 ACE Peer Mentors, who will serve as role models to first-year students transitioning to UH MΔnoa. ACE Peer Mentors are expected to lead one 50-minute course (UNIV 110) per week with around 15 to 20 students per section. Mentors will also be required to register for UNIV 301, a 4-credit upper-division writing-intensive (WI) and oral communication (O) credit. In this course, you will design lesson plans and provide strategies to guide you through the semester.
Selected students will earn 24.15 an hour as an ACE Peer Mentor
We are seeking friendly and energetic UH MΔnoa undergraduate students who want to help freshmen succeed. Prospective Peer Mentors must also be:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing (+30 credits by Fall 2026)
- In good academic standing (2.5+ GPA)
- Articulate, motivated, and willing to take initiative.
**NOTE: Must be logged into UH email to apply as an ACE Peer Mentor!
Application will be accepted until 11:55PM on Friday, March 27th, 2026. Priority will be given to early applicants. Interviews will be offered on a rolling basis.
