Hawai‘i School For Girls at La Pietra As a girls' school for grades 6-12, we aim to educate young women to lead a life of purpose.

The Hawai‘i School for Girls at La Pietra experience is rooted in an environment that empowers students to use their voice, explore their passions, and discover their purpose. Small class sizes and low 7:1 student-teacher ratio are vital to providing students with an intimate classroom setting where they feel safe to engage and participate. Our supportive and connected community is the best place for today’s young woman to fully become herself and to realize her purpose.

🤖 Meet the new FIRST LEGO League Robotics Team at Hawaiʻi School for Girls at La Pietra!

This season, our students are learning the ins and outs of robotics as they design, build, code, test, and improve their LEGO robots.

There will be plenty of trial and error along the way—and that’s part of the fun! We’re looking forward to seeing what they come up with, what they learn, and where their ideas take them this season. 💻⚙️💙

Our Hawaiʻi Tech Week event with innovator and author Jane Chen took place just before Hurricane Lowell, but her message about empathy and problem-solving feels especially relevant in its aftermath.

At our annual event with Nurturing Wāhine Fund and Coconut Wireless Network, Jane shared the story behind the infant incubator she co-founded—an innovation that has helped save the lives of more than a million babies—and introduced us to the design-thinking process behind it: Empathize. Define. Ideate. Prototype. Test.

As Hawaiʻi communities navigate the impacts of the storm, Jane’s message is a timely reminder that meaningful solutions begin by listening, understanding what people need, and thinking creatively about how we can help.

Service rooted in ʻāina. 🌱 Our National Honor Society students recently spent the day at Hoʻoulu ʻĀina in Kalihi Valley, caring for a garden that grows crops used in the organization’s Western and traditional medical services.

It was a hands-on opportunity to give back, connect with the land, and learn more about the meaningful work happening in our community. 🌿
