NOW's 2nd Production!

Last year was NOW's very first production of The Va**na Monologues at UHM. It started out with a minimal budget and a student body that had never seen it before. In our first performance we had about 80 people in the audience. By the following night word spread of this amazing show and we sold out completely.

In the second year of NOW producing The Va**na Monologues we proved to the campus that we're worth keeping around. Our budget increased, our venue changed and we filled it up with almost 300 people in one night!

I think we're on to something.

NOW at UHM hopes to see this production become a tradition on the UH campus. We hope to see it as an event that both the students and the community look forward to seeing.

The two lead producers will be graduating this semester and they want to see this production happen again next year. If you're interested in being a part of NOW at UHM and helping put on The Va**na Monologues please let us know.

Tomorrow, March 13th, marks the official launch of NO MORE, a movement centered around a symbol with the simple message that together, we can end domestic violence and sexual assault. It has been years in the making, and now, NO MORE is here.

NOW at UH Manoa witnessed Hawaii Neil Abercrombie declare February 14th One Billion Rising Day.
It's unfortunate that we have to declare a day to bring awareness about the issues surrounding the violence against women, but I'm honored our governor stands with us.
