Calling on all Kaiser High School Alumni!!! The Annual Kaiser High School Homecoming Parade is Wed., October 1, 2025, 5pm- 6pm. We are looking for alumni to walk together in the parade! A High School Homecoming is ALL ABOUT the ALUMNI. Those of us who have walked the campus, warmed the seats, hung out with friends most of us still enjoy today, cheered in the stands, complained about the food, and the homework. And then there were the dances, the love stories, and the heartbreaks. There are those just like us there today looking forward to their first or their last homecoming game! Let’s be there for them!!! Who’s with me!!!???

Celebrating Kaiser High School student’s exhaustive achievement!

Congratulations @timlorge_ @tim.lorge Kaiser student becomes Hawaii’s youngest resident to swim Ka Iwi channel 16 year old Kaiser High student and Kamehameha Swim Club member Tim Lorge stumbled onto the shoreline at Sandy Beach, in East Oahu, just before 7 p.m. on Saturday. He’d been swimming for 15 hours and 27 minutes. He started his journey at about 3:30 that morning on Molokai, about 34 miles away. “It was so long, and honestly, probably the hardest thing I’ve done in my life,” said Lorge. “But it was that feeling of like, wow, I’m finally like, I did it, you know.” To get ready, Lorge trained in a pool for up to 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. But the ocean is different. “It’s really raw out there,” said Lorge. “You’re by yourself. It was just crazy. I saw sharks. I saw dolphins, but I was really just thinking about, like, what’s around me and how like my body is feeling. I had, like, a whole bunch of throwing up and stuff.” Lorge says he vomitted about 14 times during his swim. “I would swim and then I’d feel it. I would kind of like float on my back, throw up, and then I would, you know, have to keep on swimming, you know?” @hawaiinewsnow @anthony_theus_hamilton

Aloha KHS Alumni,

Received a request from the KHS Student Activities Coordinator. They're currently looking for any recordings of an Oli written by the late Robert Lokomaikaʻiokalani Snakenberg. Here is the request:

"He had composed an Oli for our school called "Kaiser Oli" in 1986 or 1987. We have the words but don't have the melody and are afraid we've lost it. Others have come forward and shared their interpretation over the years, but we'd like to do our best to find the original and pass it on as it was written and sung. I've reached out to the Hawai'i State Archives and several foundations and Hawaiian language programs he was a part of to see if perhaps they have archives.
We are wondering if any students from those years that perhaps had sung in remembered it, or even just moments when it was sung, so we could try to find the tapes. We are forever grateful for any help you can provide. We'd like to use our Oli for our graduation and opening ceremonies henceforth if possible. But most importantly, we'd like to continue to honor the name and work of someone who gave so much to our kids and community. Mahalo for your time."
