The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is now accepting pre-applications for the 2026–2027 Barry Goldwater Scholarship cycle.

The Goldwater Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduate students pursuing research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.

Important UH Mānoa deadlines:
• October 14, 2026 — Student pre-applications due
• November 2, 2026 — Applicants notified if invited to submit a full application
• January 4, 2027 — Full applications, transcripts, and letters of recommendation due
• March 26, 2027 — Goldwater Scholarship recipients announced

UH Mānoa nominees will be selected by a campus committee and submitted to the Goldwater Scholarship Foundation by its January 29, 2027 deadline.
