University of Hawaii - Mānoa Educational Talent Search (METS) Program
METS is a TRiO program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. Free to those who qualify at Nānākuli and Wai'anae High School (*view below).
The program goals are to prepare students to succeed in the following areas:
- Grade to grade level promotion
- Graduation from high school (regular diploma, recognition diploma)

There is no cost to the student or family to participate in the METS program.
Who is eligible for METS?
- Students must be enrolled at either Nānākuli or Wai'anae High School (9th to 12th grade)
- Students must be a a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Preference is given to qualifying low-income and first generation (whose natural or adoptive parent(s) have not earned a four-year college/university degree)
- Student cannot be more than 26 years of age
