A hui hou Preschool Summer Session 2025!

What a way to end it at Capitol Modern with our keiki art featured. After showing interest in Doug Young’s art piece, Waves series, our keiki began exploring how the artist blends colors to create beautiful effects. They diligently worked on their pieces layer by layer and week by week.

We had an EGGciting week decorating Easter baskets, participating in our Easter Egg Hunt (phonetic Easter Egg Hunt for preschoolers) and even had a special visit from our wonderful neighbors Murphys Irish Pub dressing up as the Easter Bunny and visiting our toddlers and preschoolers.

We celebrated Lā Ku'ako'a ( Hawaiian Independence Day 11/28) by listening to our national anthem (Hawai'i Pono'ī and a mo'olelo of King Kamehameha III Kauikeauoli who was the longest reigning monarch of the Nation of Hawai'i. He established our democratic government, started a voting system for all, our first constitution, started public school system (before any other country in the world), constituted our national flag, and started the Honolulu Fire Department and sooo much more!!

The preschoolers and toddlers had fun coloring and glueing their own Hawaiian flags with markers, crayons, paint, and dotters while our infants collaborated on a large hand and foot painted flag.
