WE DID IT - MAHALO CLASS OF 1981!

Once again, the Class of '81 stepped up and achieved a huge milestone - we surpassed the $200,000 mark for our 45th reunion Class Gift! Mahalo to all who helped us get there, your generosity is beyond measure. And to those that would still like to contribute, any gift received by 6 PM HST on June 30, 2026 will add to our total!

A Great Big MAHALO to the Reunion Committee - whether you've been there from the kickoff, in-person, by zoom, or came in on the end with reinforcements, you are very much appreciated! It takes a lot of thought to prepare a week-long event to appeal to 100+ people coming from everywhere and looking to connect and we hope we were successful AND able to enjoy ourselves too!

*Jeremy Low for putting together a day of golf and compiling all the awesome photos of our memorable days at Punahou and reunions for the Friday night slideshow;

*Betsy, Jojo, Karen, Lissa, Melvea and Ray for donating prizes for our DJ trivia and "find a classmate Bingo" games (and Deano and Dyno as announcers);
*Lissa and Keith (and Nick Kolivas from afar) for offering such a warm remembrance of our classmates who are no longer with us;

Kamaola sail was a surprise highlight of the Punahou reunion week! Classmates Kaui Lucas, Lisa Wong, Tracy K***z and Lisa Cerney, were on board.

Mahalo to Kaui Lucas for arranging our service day at Kanewai Spring, Maunalua Bay Fishpond Heritage Center in Kuliʻouʻou! (Pictured: Lisa Cerny, Lisa Wong, Kaui Lucas, Tracy K***z, Sinclair Brown.)

Originally designed by Vladimir Ossipoff (Joslinʻs dad was his partner) and Walter Lamb. The Lambs lived there for years.

Now itʻs well into transformation to a mālama ʻāina learning center (except the house which is still in serious disrepair) with the spectacularly beautiful Kanewai Spring, lovingly transformed from backyard "water feature" to itʻs natural beauty enhanced by master uhauhumu pōhaku practitioners. The spring feeds the adjacent Kanewai fishpond, which in turn feeds Paikō lagoon.

What did you do during the week of Punahou's 100th Anniversary of Luau celebration? Cassie and Betsy joined the Traditional Hawaiian Lei Making Workshop with Kumu Mary Moriarty '93. She brought all the materials and we all brought a little bit ourselves too. It wasn't too hard - but she said "practice, practice, practice!"

The crowd went wild when Cassie Senner walked into luau wearing our graduation holoku! And Deano Matsumoto pulled out his 1981 class t-shirt with all our names on the back!
