Portrait drawing demo from this past week's introduction to portrait drawing and painting workshop. Here is a step by step progression of how to map out, block in, then finish a charcoal portrait. The instructor does these drawings alongside the students as a running in-class demo for whatever project we are working on. This drawing is about 5x7". Charcoal and white chalk on grey paper.
